The YFEP PP/PPH packed bed wet scrubber is a modular gas-liquid absorption unit designed for the removal of acid gases, alkaline mist, and water-soluble odorous compounds. Constructed with polypropylene (PP) or PPH shells and high-efficiency packing media, the scrubber operates on counter-current absorption principles. Pollutant-laden gas flows upward through the packed bed while scrubbing liquid is evenly distributed from the top. This maximizes gas-liquid contact area, enhances mass transfer, and ensures stable removal efficiency across varying load conditions.

Working Principle

Contaminated exhaust gas enters the lower section of the scrubber and flows upward through the packing bed. Scrubbing liquid is distributed evenly across the top of the packing and flows downward by gravity. The counter-current contact between gas and liquid absorbs acid gases, neutralizes alkaline mist, and captures water-soluble pollutants. Treated gas passes through a mist eliminator before discharge, while the spent liquid is collected in the recirculation tank for neutralization, make-up, or treatment.
