The emergency chlorine absorption scrubber is core safety equipment for chlorine leakage prevention in chemical industries. When chlorine gas leaks from liquid chlorine tanks, cylinders or production workshops, the negative pressure fan quickly draws the toxic chlorine gas into the scrubber.
Inside the scrubber, chlorine gas makes counter‑current contact and chemical reaction with NaOH spray liquid through multi‑layer packing layers. The harmful chlorine gas is completely neutralized into harmless sodium hypochlorite solution, achieving exhaust gas standard discharge.
The scrubber body adopts 3mm thick PVC anti‑corrosion inner lining + 8–15mm FRP reinforced outer layer composite structure.
• PVC lining provides excellent resistance against wet chlorine, NaOH and sodium hypochlorite corrosion, repairable and non‑permeable.
• FRP outer layer ensures high structural strength, UV resistance and long outdoor service life.
The whole equipment is strictly designed according to the latest GB11984‑2024 chemical chlorine safety standard.
It supports two‑stage absorption technology, automatic alkali concentration control, constant temperature system, and dual standby fans & circulation pumps. Equipped with PLC interlock system, the device can automatically start once chlorine leakage is detected.
The chlorine removal efficiency reaches ≥98.5%. The by‑product sodium hypochlorite solution can be recycled and reused.
The overall service life is more than 15 years with low maintenance cost.
