The Spray Tower Scrubber is a simple, reliable, and energy-efficient wet scrubbing system designed to remove acid gases, chemical fumes, and particulate matter from industrial exhaust streams. In this scrubber, the contaminated gas stream enters a chamber where it comes into contact with fine liquid droplets generated by multiple spray zones. The liquid is pre-formed into droplets before contacting the gas, ensuring optimal gas-liquid interaction and high collection efficiency.

Spray towers are widely used in chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, metal finishing, and waste incineration facilities due to their low maintenance, stable performance, and ability to handle fluctuating gas flows.


How It Works

In a vertical spray tower, the gas stream flows upward through the chamber and passes through multiple sets of spray nozzles. The liquid droplets absorb or chemically react with gaseous pollutants while capturing dust particles. A mist eliminator at the top removes entrained droplets and wetted particulate matter from the exiting clean gas. The scrubbing liquid and collected contaminants drain from the bottom as slurry for disposal or treatment.

Horizontal spray chambers operate on the same principle, with gas flowing horizontally through the device.
