Category:
A highly effective contacting device for applications requiring a low liquid-to-gas ratio, sieve tray scrubbers are best suited for absorption of highly soluble but volatile compounds, such as alcohols, acetone, and some other organic compounds and acid gases.
Sieve tray towers achieve maximum contaminant removal with minimal water use and are less prone to fouling than packed towers. Verantis sieve tray scrubbers also remove particulate as small as 5 microns in diameter.
The systems consist of a number of perforated trays in a vertical cylindrical tower. Liquid flows horizontally across the trays while gas flows up through the tray perforations at high velocity, creating a frothing effect where gas absorption takes place. The liquid then flows through downcomer pipes to the lower trays. The number of trays can vary depending on the application and efficiency required.

Corrosion-resistant construction
2.configurations:
We prioritize understanding your facility’s specific requirements to deliver the optimal solution. Our team offers the following configurations for your wet scrubber:
Horizontal Scrubbers: Ideal for applications with limited vertical space or rooftop setups requiring a low profile. In this design, gas flows horizontally while scrubbing liquid flows downward. Multiple stages with individual pumps can be integrated into a single housing if needed.
Vertical Scrubbers: A more space-efficient and effective option, where gas moves upward and scrubbing liquid is sprayed downward onto the media. The sprayed liquid effectively absorbs contaminants from the gas.
Multistage Air Scrubbing Systems: Designed for maximum contaminant capture and removal, these systems incorporate multiple stages with diverse scrubbing solutions to thoroughly clean the gas. They are particularly suitable for handling gas mixtures with multiple substances.
3.Tower Materials
Our systems are designed for durability and exceptional performance. To ensure quality, we collaborate with accredited industry-leading suppliers who leverage their expertise and premium materials to engineer and manufacture our packed tower scrubber systems. Built with precision and a focus on safety, Yuanfang solutions utilize the following materials:
Titanium
Mild steel and stainless steel
Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP)
Polyethylene
Polypropylene
CPVC and PVC
4、Commom Pollutants Removed
A packed bed scrubber effectively removes various toxic substances as contaminated gas flows upward through the tower. A spray of scrubbing liquid or water neutralizes harmful components in the gas. To enhance the reaction process, media packing can be added to the column, which retains the scrubbing solution and optimizes the neutralization process. As the gas ascends and the scrubbing solution cleans the exhaust, additional reagents or makeup water are introduced at the base of the system.
Our packed bed scrubbers are capable of removing a wide range of pollutants, including:
  • Chromic acid
  • Formaldehyde
  • Ethylene
  • Acids and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Soluble alcohols
  • SO₂
  • BCl₃ and BF₃
  • Cl₂, Br₂, and F₂
  • Formic acid
  • NH₃
  • HNO₃
  • HCN
  • HBr
  • HF
  • HCl
  • H₂S
5、Applications
Packed bed scrubbers are ideal for industries generating contaminated airflow. Yuanfang’s Company packed bed scrubber systems are designed to handle:
  • Steel processing emissions
  • Biogas and landfill pollutants
  • Metal finishing byproducts
  • Odors from wastewater treatment plants
  • Food processing odors
  • Acidic fumes and gases
  • Chemical fumes and odors
