A Yuanfang Chemical Scrubber is an air pollution control device that uses a liquid absorbent to remove targeted gaseous pollutants from an industrial exhaust stream. The most common and efficient design is a counter-flow packed tower, where the contaminated gas rises through a chamber packed with inert media, while a specially selected scrubbing liquid is distributed downward over the packing.
This creates a vast surface area for maximum gas-liquid contact, allowing the pollutants to be absorbed into the liquid phase. The cleaned gas then passes through a mist eliminator before being released into the atmosphere.
